Open Device Manager (Control Panel > System > Hardware Tab)
From the ‘View’ menu select ‘Show hidden devices’
Click the + next to ‘Non-Plug and Play Drivers’
Right-click on TPkd and select uninstall
Restart the computer
Use ‘Add or Remove Programs’ (Control Panel) to remove Pro Tools
Upon restart, reinstall Pro Tools by running the installer on the Pro Tools CD
