Posted bySo the other day I got approved as an uber driver in Dallas and uber sent me a message saying I was good to go. Then, today I was playing around on the Drive Uber DFW website and under the 'support' section it says as of May 1, 2015 all drivers in the city of Dallas are required to have a city of Dallas permit both for the driver and the vehicle. None of this was mentioned on the app, during sign up, on the website etc. and had I not been playing around on the drive uber DFW website, I wouldn't have even noticed it. My question is, do I really need the permits? Has anyone gotten in trouble for not having a permit? Is this something that is even enforced? I know to pick up at DFW airport you need both city of Dallas permits and a DFW airport permit, but other than that, is getting through the expense and hassle of getting a permit worth it?
