  • YANIGASAWA SAXOPHONES: During the 1970′s, the 3rd and 4th digit of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture. 1972 – 127 – 127 – 12745400.

Can't tell from your description or the photos whether this is an alto or a tenor. Tenors are usually worth a bit more than their alto counterparts.

Buescher Sax Serial Number List

This horn pictured is virtually the same as a Selmer Bundy from the same era and would be a student model worth maybe $300 give or take if in excellent appearance and playing condition.

It's a tenor. After Selmer USA bought out Buescher in the 1960's, Selmer USA continued to produce the Aristocrat, but in a watered down, student relegated form. From that era onward, the Buescher name became their student line.

The Bundy I was the next incarnation of these. A mere shadow of the once superb, professional grade Aristocrat back when Buescher was still in business and manufacturing it.
